Picture-a-Day: 11 Jan. 2018 Plate of Chocolate Chip Cookies
This certainly brings back memories . . . back in the late 1990s, I opened my first photography studio in the Lower Arts District of Downtown Denver, Colorado. My space was located in the back 1/3 of a cookie shop on Market Street.
It was a great, symbiotic relationship. The cookie shop owner had a storefront and a large kitchen, and my photo studio was located in the back with a private entrance in the alley. The ceilings were well over 15 feet, there was a restroom/changing room for the models/clients, and there was plenty of space for me to leave backdrops and lighting setups permanently in-place.
The best and hardest part of the whole relationship was the peanut butter cookies. The smell of a tray of warm peanut butter cookies wafting through everything you are doing has a tendency to reach right through your nose, and down your smell receptors, manipulating your limbic system–causing your heart to race, stomach to growl, and concentration to wane.
Seriously, good times . . . in a nod to the good old days, here are some chocolate chip cookies. Enjoy!
