A lovely cocktail made with Mezcal, and Creme de Pamplemousse served in an old-style Coup glass. This particular cocktail is one of my own creations . . . .
All the neighborhoods have them . . . little, local, restaurants that have been around for a long time, are frequented by regulars, and that make solid, consistent food. In North Beach, a few blocks off from Washington Square, Tratoria Contadina is one of those restaurants.

For the first image of the year, I am posting a night shot of the Bay Bridge. It was a bit hazy out, but a lovely view of the Bay Bridge nonetheless. Happy New Years, everyone.
