Before

  • You will receive an email from Calendly about the Lunchtime Headshot Special session that you selected. 
  • Please use the provided link in the email to pay for your session.
  • You will receive a confirmation email for your payment, and directions to the Studio.
  • We will confirm with you about your Lunchtime headshot session!

During

  • Arrive ready for your headshot session. (There is a mirror for last-minute touch-ups.)
  • Wear clothing that makes you feel confident. Avoid complicated patterns. Wear what you would wear to a job interview, or to a new potential client meeting. 
  • Don’t worry–I’ve got posing techniques to help you get a great headshot. 
  • You can see the images right then (on a large screen). We take images until you get one that you like!
  • Select your new headshot image (for full retouching) right away–then you are done!

After

  • Your retouched image will be ready on the next business day.
  • The files include:
    • High Resolution file (recommended for print)
    • Medium Resolution file
    • Web-optimized file (for email, or where a small size is critical)

FAQs

How long does it take? 

The whole process will take roughly 30 minutes. Walk-in, take one last check in the mirror, and we get to work. The camera and lighting is already set.  We spend a few minutes at the end reviewing the images, and you make your selection.  And, that’s it.

What does full retouching mean?

We’ve set up the lighting to be as flattering as possible.  In the retouching process, we address overall color, skin and blemishes, and wardrobe.  For example, we will remove pet hair from your clothing, light wrinkles from a shirt or jacket, a few fly-away hairs, and address any skin blemishes.  We won’t do anything crazy—like over-retouching your skin away, or add disco colors to the background (although we love disco colors).  

What if I want more than one image?

The headshot session includes a single, retouched image.  The retouching is done by hand, and must be completed on each image—the work done on one image does not transfer to other images.  If you would like additional images, there is a charge of $25 per image to cover the retouching.  

What should I wear?

Wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident.  Wear what you would wear to a job interview.  Or, if you are a salesperson, wear what you would wear to a sales meeting.  There are a few things to avoid: busy patterns (like Hawaiian shirts) and super-bright colors.  These things will compete with your eyes for the attention of the viewer.  

Can I have my headshot in black and white?

Of course!  I love black and white images, but it isn’t very common for corporate headshots.  Don’t take my word for it—spend a little time looking at the headshots of your peers on LinkedIn.  (In general, this will give you a really good idea as to what is popular for both wardrobe and style of headshots in your field.)

What if I want a different color than white, gray, or black for my headshot?  

We can offer such a low price because we are being really efficient with our time.  We have also crafted this special to appeal to most people who need corporate headshots.  That being said, we can certainly customize a headshot session to your specific tastes—but, not at this discounted session.  Please contact us and we can discuss your project!
